There's a lot to say, and I'm not sure if I've got the stamina in me to say it all. All's well with little Elizabeth as she delights in nothing more than abusing her mother from within, so no worries there. But many, many other things have been going on. Firstly, Vic and I have been "in the market" for a house. There's one particular piece of land that we've been out to see twice now.

The past few days have been all about damage control. Recovery from Christmas, recovery from web issues, recovery from nausea... So, no, I haven't been around much lately. Too much to do and not enough time to do it in. So here's the quickie recap: Robin joined us with the Gauck family for Thanksgiving where Turkey and mass quantities of Good Eats were had, not to mention some Wii gaming. December brought me at least ten hours of overtime just about every week which was a godsend (although we didn't know it at the time).

Seriously, where to begin? This is probably a good reason to update more often, but once you get behind you don't want to do it because you know there's so much you have to discuss, and then things just build up and build up until a day like today comes when I've got to decide what exactly I want to write about and just write about it. So here I am. Writing.

Welcome to the new QDP. You may not notice much of a change, and if so, that means my job was performed correctly. I've switched from WordPress to Drupal, a CMS package that I've found a lot of love for, having used it to set up three websites for work and now two for myself.

Expect more changes soon. The Photo Album is not excused from my revisionary eye!

Got a wild hair up my ass at the moment - you understand, I'm sure - so I'm upgrading the site. I'm switching to another software package that I've grown quite fond of lately, so we'll see how this goes. So... until I say otherwise, consider this site in flux. You're going to see some drastic changes around here, and you won't see the subtle changes, or maybe you won't, I guess it depends on how observant you are.

What could be so important that I'd have to mention it here? This website has become someone depreciated of late, as many of my creative energies are funneled towards The Ricedale Collaborative and the websites of a few clients at work.

See, the problem is that there are things that happen that I have to write about - but putting a 'mandatory tag' on updating the website does a better job of pushing me away from writing, and then things fall behind, and that makes it even harder to update.
