Multiplayer is good. JediKnight makes for some great multiplayer. This addon makes it even better. The ability to scope in on someone a laGoldenEye, the increased number of force abilities, and the very nostalgic multiplayer levels... Wow.

If only they took that amount of care when it came to the single player part of the game. Or so it seems to me...

WARNING!!! I haven't really played the game yet!!! I've only jumped it, turned on the cheats, and blasted through all the levels to the end, usually just skipping a level.

I'm telling you this because I can't stand reading a review about something when it's obvious that the person reviewing it only spent ten minutes playing it. I ask that you take this as evidence of my sincerity.

Anyway, from what I have seen of the game, it's nowhere near as good as JK. First of all, most of the levels, with the exception of about 6 (I think) are outdoors. Caves, swamps, asteroids.... To me, it seems like it's just a way to ensure that you don't need to put a lot of detail into the city scenes. By that, I mean that building a level that is based in an urban landscape takes alot of time drafting boxes, walls, textures for each of these, etc. If you're in a rocky landscape you just throw in a few solid surfaces at odd angles, slap on a rocky colored texture and blam-o! So the levels are boring. They're also puzzle-ridden as hell. Takes forever to figure out where to go.

"But didn't you say in your review of Jedi Knight that all the levels were too linear and always easy to figure out. "

Damn, you've caught me. Ok, here's the situation there. Yes, JK was too easy. Looks like they solved that problem in the same aspect as shooting your foot with a bazooka will cure athlete's foot. The levels are still pretty linear, but now most of the doors in that straight path are hidden. You'll have to play it to truly understand I guess.

However, there is one flaw that I'd noticed that outright pisses me off. The last 4 or 5 levels of the game places you in a swamp. I can deal with that, most of the level has been like exotic hiking anyway. However, none of your guns work, only the light saber. I can deal with that as well. The last 3 or 4 levels take place inside/around a Sith Temple where there are no lights. Annoying as hell. You've got to use Force Sight all the time. A-N-N-O-Y-I-N-G.

Anyway, that's all I've seen so far. Haven't gotten much of a chance to play multi-player with it, but plan to in the next few days.
